These structures have become very popular in private housebuilding – country houses and cottages, verandas and terraces, gazebos, often serving as exits to balconies and recessed balconies, as well as in cafés and restaurants. Special burglar-proof hardware, combined with the use of impact-resistant IGUs, guarantee reliable protection against possible intrusions by burglars.

Operating principle

SP Portal parallel sliding doors with ATRIUM SP Komfort hardware differ from standard designs in that by turning the handle 90 degrees, the door leaf extends about 6 mm parallel to the frame and then slides sideways in the direction of the rail. The sash opens with just one turn of the handle, after which a special gas-spring mechanism helps you bring the sash to the desired position and then you can move it freely in the pulled-out position. In other words, the sash is only pushed manually, and then it is automatically pulled into the frame by the gas-spring mechanism of the sliding door. The door opens and closes very comfortably and securely at the same time.

A system with such an opening mechanism does not need any free space, unlike standard window constructions. In addition to the convenient SP portal mechanism, the portals undoubtedly have a very comfortable and effective ventilation, preventing the formation of mould fungi. The sash dimensions of this sliding door series have a height limit of 2.6 metres, and the maximum permissible width is one and a half metres.
