Larch windows by OknaDrev are made from three/four-ply glued laminated timber with radially cut lamellae. The wood is thoroughly impregnated with Tikkurila antiseptic, the window surface is primed and then Remmers lacquer coating is applied. Both double- and triple-glazed energy-saving IGUs are available, depending on the function of the window unit.

We use a Schlegel gasket with 2 – 3 gasket circuits. Standard colours: brown, white, beige, light oak.

Aluminium overlaps on the outer surfaces of the window profiles are possible – for additional protection of wood from the weather.

On request we install decorative covers on IGUs to enhance the aesthetic appeal of our products.

Advantages of larch windows

Strength

Due to the high strength index, larch products serve up to 55 years. The material is well suited for glazing balconies and window frames, thereby allowing the building to be decorated in a uniform style.

Moisture resistant

Larch has a higher resistance to high humidity compared to other types of wood.
Under the influence of moisture, the material hardens: it acquires better strength and quality. In saunas, for example, larch windows are indispensable.

Pest and rot resistance

Timber contains gum and tannins that make the material resistant to rot. Particular resins protect larch from being deformed by woodworms. The material is resistant to fungi and mould.

Indoor microclimate

Larch is a natural antiseptic. Resins in the wood prevent the growth of pathogenic bacteria. Larch has micropores in its structure so that the premises are naturally ventilated.

Texture and aesthetics

Elegant annual rings enhance the aesthetic appeal of larch. This material is characterised by shades of ochre, matching all interior styles. Moreover, the surface can easily be tinted to your preferred colour.

Heat saving

Larch timber withstands a variety of temperatures, easily preserving heat in the premises. If necessary, additional IGUs with low thermal conductivity can be installed for maximum thermal protection.
